Turkish-French Influence Leader to Receive Award Signed by Joe Biden

The head of a Turk­ish-French influ­ence orga­ni­za­tion is expect­ed to receive an award signed by US Pres­i­dent Joe Biden. Accord­ing to the ExpertClick report:

Sep­tem­ber 17, 2022 The Caribbean and African Faith Based Lead­er­ship Con­fer­ence (CAFBLC) will hon­or nation­al and inter­na­tion­al lead­ers for their excep­tion­al ser­vice to the glob­al African dias­po­ra at the 2022 African and Caribbean Inter­na­tion­al Lead­er­ship Con­fer­ence and Awards Gala onThurs­day, Sep­tem­ber 29th. This sig­nif­i­cant event, held in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Unit­ed States 51st Con­gres­sion­al Black Cau­cus Annu­al Leg­isla­tive Con­fer­ence, will take place at the Nation­al Press Club. This year’s theme is: “Unit­ed in Faith for Social Change”. The award recip­i­ents will receive awards, includ­ing the Pres­i­den­tial Life­time Achieve­ment Award, signed by U.S. Pres­i­dent Joe Biden. The hon­orees con­sist of renowned glob­al lead­ers, vol­un­teers, lead­ers in com­mu­ni­ty devel­op­ment, diplo­mats, elect­ed offi­cials, and cor­po­rate and spir­i­tu­al lead­ers who, oper­at­ing pri­mar­i­ly from a faith per­spec­tive, have made an immense­ly pos­i­tive impact on major issues such as reli­gious lib­er­ty, civ­il rights, human­i­tar­i­an con­cerns, social jus­tice, eco­nom­ic devel­op­ment and mis­sion partnerships.

Coun­cil for Jus­tice, Equal­i­ty and Peace (COJEP) head and founder Ali Gedikoğlu is list­ed under “Oth­er dis­tin­guished hon­orees.” COJEP is an NGO based in Stras­bourg, France, that describes itself as work­ing in the spheres of human rights, democ­ra­cy, fight­ing against racism and dis­crim­i­na­tion, inter­cul­tur­al dia­logue, and oth­er soci­etal mat­ters. COJEP was found­ed in 1992 in Belfort, France, and shared its head­quar­ters with Mil­lî Görüş. COJEP act­ed as the youth branch of the move­ment before split­ting from it and mov­ing to Stras­bourg in 1996, and COJEP’s founder and pres­i­dent, Ali Gedıkoğlu, has called Mil­lî Görüş his “camp.” COJEP has tak­en sim­i­lar posi­tions as Turk­ish Pres­i­dent Erdoğan’s polit­i­cal par­ty, the AKP.
