A new online TV channel aimed at the Palestinian diaspora has announced the launch of its pilot broadcast. According to the announcement:
April 11, 2021 The television channel “Reydin” officially announces the launch of its pilot broadcast with the start of the holy month of Ramadan, making it the first television channel interested in the affairs of Palestinian communities and refugee camps around the world. The channel aims to get acquainted with Palestinian communities around the world, their institutions, personalities and achievements, and to bring about communication and solidarity between their kinship both inside [Palestine] and in the diaspora. It sheds light on the reality of Palestinians in refugee camps, and seeks to contribute to improving their living conditions. The Palestinian Rajeen channel will also serve as a platform for all Arab, Muslim and foreign supporters of the Palestinian cause around the world, by transmitting their voice and activities via television and various social media platforms. Rajeen will open its media window to all supporters of the Palestinian cause through dialogue programs specializing in the Palestinian issue.

The announcement further describes the channel as a limited shareholding company specializing in production and media services and led by ‘Palestinian businessmen,’ with offices in London and Istanbul. At the moment, it broadcasts in Arabic with future plans to broadcasting in English and Spanish.
While the names of the Palestinian businessmen behind the channel were undisclosed, the channel is being promoted by Ziad El-Aloul, known to have been a leader in the Palestinian Business Forum described by the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Watch as part of the Hamas support network. More recently, Aloul has been acting as spokesperson for the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, an umbrella group for diaspora Palestinians which an Israeli think-tank has linked to the Global Muslim Brotherhood and to support of Hamas.
