Heritage Foundation Holds Meeting to Discuss EU Dismantling After Project 2025 Success

On 14 March 2025, DeSmog reported that the Heritage Foundation, architects of Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, convened a closed-door workshop focused on proposals to overhaul the European Union. The article begins:

The group that drafted a key blueprint for Donald Trump’s second term convened a meeting in Washington D.C. this week to consider proposals for bulldozing the European Union (EU). The Polish investigative outlet VSquare revealed that the Heritage Foundation gathered hardline conservative groups on 11 March to hear how they would overhaul the current structures of the EU. Key Points:

  • The Heritage Foundation met with European conservative groups to discuss a paper proposing the elimination of core EU institutions and governance structures.
  • Hungarian government-backed MCC and Polish group Ordo Iuris are leading the initiative to transform the EU into a looser “European Community of Nations.”
  • Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts has explicitly called for Europeans to “reclaim sovereignty” from Brussels in recent public statements.
  • The foundation has been holding private meetings with far-right European politicians from Hungary and Czechia who oppose EU climate policies.
