An Israeli NGO is reporting that in an interview with a Turkish pro-Muslim Brotherhood TV channel, a Palestinian scholar tied to the global Muslim Brotherhood has advocated the killing of all Jews living in Palestine. According to the MEMRI report:
May 11, 2021 Islamic scholar Mraweh Nassar (…) said that humanity will never thrive until the Jewish nation is annihilated. He made his remarks in an interview with the Arab language pro Muslim Brotherhood Channel 9 (Turkey) that aired on May 11, 2021. Nassar clarified that he means every single Jew in Palestine, including, men, women, children, and the elderly, but not Western Jews, who “do not attack us, who do not support banishing and killing us.”

In a February 2021 interview with the same channel, Nassar said that the world had to be “cleansed” of Jews before Muslims could have true peace, calling them “the most dangerous enemies.”
Nassar serves as Secretary-General of the Jerusalem Committee of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), an international body of Muslim theologians based in Doha, Qatar, whose leadership is closely tied to the Global Muslim Brotherhood (GMB). Until recently, it was led by GMB spiritual guide Youssef Qaradawi. Several prominent European Muslim faith leaders tied to the GMB were IUMS members and/or have served as IUMS Trustees, including former Oxford University Islamic Studies professor Tariq Ramadan and Ahmed Jaballah, a senior leader in the French and Global Muslim Brotherhood.
In May 2021, the Global Influence Operations Report (GIOR) reported that the IUMS had posted a proposed Friday sermon on the topic of Jerusalem to its website that included incitement to violence and jihad, adding that whoever was unable to come to the battlefront himself had to help the fighters with money. Other recent GIOR reporting on the IUMS has also included:
- In April 2021, the GIOR reported that the IUMS had called on the French government to stop interfering with the “privacy of Islam,” rejecting a new French Charter of Republican Values aiming to curtail foreign influence over Muslim groups and mosques.
- In May 2021, the GIOR reported that the IUMS was among the organizers of a virtual scholars conference centered on Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque that brought together a UN-sanctioned terrorism financier, Global Muslim Brotherhood leaders, and a British organization known to be pro-Hamas.
