GIOR Report: Europe and the Global Muslim Brotherhood Part 1: European Governmental Funding.

The Glob­al Influ­ence Oper­a­tions Report (GIOR) has pub­lished the first in a series of reports on the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood in Europe titled “Europe and the Glob­al Mus­lim Broth­er­hood Part 1: Euro­pean Gov­ern­men­tal Fund­ing.” Accord­ing to the report synopsis:

The Glob­al Mus­lim Broth­er­hood (GMB) is a transna­tion­al net­work of polit­i­cal Islamists tracked by the Glob­al Influ­ence Oper­a­tions Report (GIOR). The threats to Euro­pean civ­il soci­ety posed by the GMB include hin­der­ing the inte­gra­tion of minori­ties, incit­ing con­flict between eth­nic groups, fos­ter­ing hatred, and incu­bat­ing ter­ror­ism. Trac­ing and iden­ti­fy­ing fund­ing sources for the GMB is one of the most chal­leng­ing tasks for OSINT ana­lysts. Nev­er­the­less, GIOR research into the GMB has iden­ti­fied a vari­ety of fund­ing streams, one of which is Euro­pean gov­ern­ments. This report doc­u­ments a total of €79,551,732.50 in fund­ing for the GMB in Europe pro­vid­ed by the Euro­pean Union, the Coun­cil of Europe, and var­i­ous nation­al gov­ern­ments since 2004.
