European Muslim Brotherhood Youth Elects New Leadership

On 9 Decem­ber 2023, the Forum of Euro­pean Mus­lim Youth Orga­ni­za­tions (FEMYSO) announced via social media that it had elect­ed a new Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee for the peri­od 2023–2025. FEMYSO said its new Pres­i­dent was French youth activist Hania Cha­lal, the for­mer pres­i­dent of the French Mus­lim Broth­er­hood youth group and FEMYSO mem­ber Etu­di­ants Musul­mans de France (EMF). Omar Abu-Qal­bain, a for­mer Project Man­ag­er of the Mus­lim Char­i­ties Forum, is the new FEMYSO Sec­re­tary-Gen­er­al. The new Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee also includes Abdul­sa­mi Arju­mand, a for­mer Junior Pol­i­cy Researcher at Mus­lim Engange­ment & Devel­op­ment (MEND), an Islam­ic NGO close to the Mus­lim Broth­er­hood in Britain. Ital­ian nation­al Ebrahim Ali, the pres­i­dent of Ital­ian youth MB group Gio­vani Musul­mani d’Italia, serves as the new FEMYSO Head of Fundraising.
