Qatari media is reporting on the 20th Doha Forum, which took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Doha between 26–27 March. According to Al-Jazeera, the Doha Forum:
March 27, 2022 Doha, Qatar – The 20th edition of the Doha Forum, which kicked off at the Sheraton Hotel in the Qatari capital, is the biggest global platform that brings together policy leaders to discuss critical challenges facing the world, promote the interchange of ideas, and action-oriented recommendations. Under the title Transforming for a New Era, the two-day forum will host a number of discussions centred around geopolitical alliances and international relations; the financial system and economic development; defence, cybersecurity, and food security; and sustainability and climate change. In his opening address, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani spoke about the need for the global community to reimagine a new world order.

The Doha Forum, which took place under the patronage of the Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, describes itself as:
..a global platform for dialogue, bringing together leaders in policy to discuss critical challenges facing our world, and to build innovative and action-driven networks. Under the banner ‘Diplomacy, Dialogue, Diversity’, Doha Forum promotes the interchange of ideas and discourse towards policy making and action-oriented recommendations. In a world where borders are porous, our challenges and solutions are also interlinked.
The list of Forum speakers for this year’s events includes senior government officials from various Middle Eastern and European countries, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who spoke online. Also attending were heads of NGOs and think tanks such as the Munich Security Conference Foundation, also listed as a strategic partner. Forum speakers also included the following individuals tied to the Global Muslim Brotherhood:
- Nihad Awad, long-term Executive Director and one of the three founders of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
- Taher Herzallah, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) Associate Director and former AMP Campus Coordinator
- Osama Abu Irshaid, Executive Director of Americans for Justice in Palestine Action, a political advocacy group launched in September 2021 by the AMP. Irshaid is also a board member of the US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO)
- Wadah Khanfar, president of the Al-Sharq Forum and former Director-General of Al Jazeera Media Network, with a possible Hamas background
