College of Islamic Studies at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University
The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University, previously known as the Qatar Faculty for Islamic Studies (QFIS), is the home of the Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE), launched in 2012 and formerly headed by Global Muslim Brotherhood figure Tariq Ramadan. In addition, the CIS Advisory Board has included John Esposito, the former head of Georgetown University’s Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Esposito is a former U.S. State Dept. advisor and a long-term supporter of the Global Muslim Brotherhood, who has had multiple affiliations with GMB groups.
